9.)Why did you choose Perth for UNCREWED ?

Perth offers a strategic blend of location, industry presence, and venue versatility. Western Australia is a thriving hub for mining technology, defence, maritime operations, aerospace, and robotics - key sectors driving the future of autonomy and uncrewed systems.

The Claremont Showground provides a rare combination of expansive indoor exhibition halls and open outdoor arenas, perfectly suited to UNCREWED’s diverse showcase of platforms, robotics, and cutting-edge technology.

With growing interest from government, research institutions, and global tech companies, Perth is uniquely positioned to become the southern hemisphere’s leading centre for autonomous systems, uncrewed vehicles, and intelligent infrastructure.

10.)Will UNCREWED rotate locations or always be in Perth ?

UNCREWED Australia is proudly anchored in Perth to leverage Western Australia’s unique strengths - its strategic position as a hub for defence, mining, offshore industries, and advanced technology. The region’s geography and industrial base make it the perfect launchpad for an event focused on autonomy and intelligent systems.

As the UNCREWED platform grows, we’re exploring opportunities to expand internationally, including a potential trans-Tasman spin-off in Christchurch, New Zealand—broadening the brand and its global reach.

12.)How will UNCREWED be advertised to attract the right demographic of visitors ?

Yes. While UNCREWED champions national innovation in autonomy, it also embraces a broad spectrum of advanced technologies and intelligent systems. The event is designed to attract international exhibitors, investors, and delegations - especially from sectors where autonomy is driving transformative operational change worldwide.

11.)Will International companies be invited to attend ?

The success of UNCREWED depends on true teamwork between organisers, exhibitors, sponsors, and industry partners. We don’t just run the event and hope visitors show up - the strongest turnout happens when everyone collaborates to actively promote the expo.

Shared responsibility = stronger reach

Exhibitors and sponsors play a vital role by activating their own networks through email campaigns, social media, and client outreach. This collective effort creates a multiplier effect, building credibility and visibility across relevant communities.

In return, exhibitors benefit from reduced participation costs through in-kind sponsorship arrangements, where their promotional efforts directly support event marketing.

Why this matters

No single organiser can guarantee foot traffic alone - successful events rely on partners sharing the workload of audience engagement. By committing to promotion, exhibitors increase their own return on investment, attracting more qualified leads and meaningful connections.

Sponsors gain broader brand exposure as UNCREWED reaches audiences through multiple trusted channels.

Our support for you

We provide ready-made marketing toolkits, social media assets, and co-branded content to make promotion easy and effective. We also coordinate joint media campaigns, webinars, and announcements with partners to boost visibility.

Our national campaign targets key sectors, while our collective partner networks activate audiences at every level.

In short, UNCREWED is a partnership. If you choose to be a sponsor or exhibitor, your active involvement in promotion is crucial to unlocking the event’s full potential. Together, we build a bigger, better, and more engaged audience that benefits everyone.

13.)What is the cost to Exhibit ?

Exhibitor packages and pricing details for UNCREWED will be announced shortly.

We’ll be offering an early bird incentive - a limited-time opportunity for early commitments to secure prime booth locations and preferential pricing.

Our first in, best dressed policy means early registrants get the best choice of spots to maximize visibility and engagement.

Floor plans will be released in late July, so the best way to stay ahead is to sign up for our e-newsletter. That way, you’ll be the first to know when registrations open and can secure your preferred location.

14.)What is the ticket cost to attend ?

Trade and public admission ticket costs will depend on exhibitor uptake and sponsorship support. With strong partner and association involvement, fees are expected to remain minimal - significantly lower than comparable trade shows and conferences in this sector.

15.)What are your Sponsorship packages ?

UNCREWED offers a range of sponsorship opportunities designed to suit different levels of involvement and budgets. At the top tier, Title or Presenting Sponsors receive exclusive naming rights and the highest visibility across the event. Principal, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Supporting sponsorship levels provide graduated branding and engagement benefits to fit various partner needs.

Beyond these levels, themed sponsorships allow brands to align with specific event elements such as the main stage, networking lounges, demo zones, registration desks, lanyards, tote bags, and social gatherings. Media sponsors and industry associations are also welcome to contribute through promotional collaborations and synergic initiatives.

We are now inviting sponsors to partner with UNCREWED for dedicated areas within the pavilion, especially the Sea, Air, Land, Space zones. These themed areas offer unique opportunities for brands to showcase their leadership and engage directly with targeted audiences.

Additionally, sponsors can target sector-specific opportunities within defence, aerospace, maritime, AI, and more - helping them connect directly with their key markets. Remember, it’s all teamwork: the more our exhibitors, sponsors, and partners collaborate, the stronger the event and its reach will be. We’re developing a comprehensive sponsorship menu and encourage interested partners to sign up for our e-newsletter to stay informed.

16.)When will the Event dates be announced ?

The exact dates will be announced shortly, but UNCREWED will take place over a Friday and Saturday in March 2026. Sign up for our e-newsletter to stay informed and receive the latest updates.

We chose the name UNCREWED to reflect the core focus of the event: showcasing the future of technologies that operate without people onboard - whether remotely controlled or fully autonomous.

“Uncrewed” is a modern, inclusive term used globally across defence, aerospace, marine, and robotics sectors to describe systems that replace or augment human presence in the field. From drones and ROV's to autonomous vehicles and robotic platforms, UNCREWED captures the scale and diversity of this fast-moving frontier - across air, land, oceans, subsea, and space.

It’s not just a name - it’s a statement about where the future is headed.

Technically, “uncrewed” refers to any vehicle, vessel, or system that operates without a human physically onboard. These systems are either:

  • Remotely operated (e.g. by a human using a control station), or

  • Autonomous (able to operate independently using pre-programmed logic, AI, or onboard sensors).

The term applies across multiple domains, including:

  • ROVs - Remotely Operated Vehicle

  • UAVs – Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (drones)

  • USVs – Uncrewed Surface Vessels

  • UUVs/AUVs – Uncrewed or Autonomous Underwater Vehicles

  • UGVs – Uncrewed Ground Vehicles

  • Spacecraft – Robotic missions without human passengers

“Uncrewed” has replaced older terms like unmanned to reflect modern usage that is both more technically accurate and inclusive.
